Hamburg-based Thomas Hoffknecht, known from releases on labels like Sleaze, District4 or Micro.Fon, makes his OFF Recordings debut.
His ‘Vektor’ EP delivers us 4 ultra-functional techno-tools. The eponymous ‘Vektor’ combines a galloping groove with a sinister synth line and shuffled tops. ‘Dynamik’ relies on a deadly functional combination of percussions, an absolute weapon for the club. ‘Drehmoment’ offers a rolling bass with a cheeky synth lead that’s sure to create dancefloor madness. Finally, ‘Vektor’ takes things to a deeper direction, with its spacy and trippy lead and stripped back drums. Altogether, the EP is another strong statement from this young artist on a rise.
